never die

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25‭-‬26 NLT

What do you think of Jesus' claim that He is the resurrection and the life? What does it mean to you? Have you taken time to think? What does resurrection mean? The Oxford Dictionary relates the word to two things: Christ's rising from the dead, and our resurrection from the dead at the final judgement. What happens at the final judgement? We are asked what we did with the offer of salvation that Jesus gave us.  If we made Him our righteousness, we enter eternal life with Him, if we relied on our own righteousness we go to eternal suffering with Satan and his lot.

It is easy, in this modern age, to scoff at such outcomes, however, we will be tested in our mockery when we die. Eternity is real. We are eternal beings. This life on earth is just a breath compared to the Eternity that awaits us. Which way will we go?
