In Peace

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.”Psalms‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

True peace only comes from the Lord. Whilst we may say we are at peace with the nations around us, this could all change in an instant. Realistically we do not know how other nations view us, either in greed and lust or benevolence. 

Jesus slept in the storm on a small fishing boat, and when awoken by distraught disciples He said, “Peace be still!” And the storm ceased. It seems He is the master of peace. How can we speak peace to our environment? How do we stop the storm in others?

The disciples were in a storm of fear. People become enraged with a storm of offence. How do we deal with that storm? Logic does not abate it, placation and apology may or may not bring it to an end. However, a revelation of truth and personal repentance does. The conciliator is the Holy Spirit .

Therefore, the bringer of peace is the Holy Spirit. Praise God we have Him dwelling within our spirits when we become born again. He is constantly interceding for us. He is on our side. Praise Him!
