In Christ Jesus

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Jewish Bible says it like this:

“Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua.”Romans (Rom)‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭CJB‬‬

So, ‘in Christ’ is ‘in union with Christ’. That makes sense.

 At lot has been going on in the Liberal Party in Victoria, Australia. A woman who is daring to stand up for women’s rights has been attacked by her party colleagues. Although she in ‘in’ the liberal party, they are definitely ‘in union’ with her. They want to expel her. They sound like a bunch of bigots.

However, when we are in union with Christ, we do not try to change His teaching, or water down His edicts. Jesus told us to ‘abide in Him and that He would abide in us’. This speaks of a close relationship. A vital relationship.

To be in union with Christ means agreeing to His terms. If we are not willing then we are not His and will therefore come under judgement. Not a good place to be! Amen!
