superior things

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10

Knowing what is superior to be approved requires discernment. Paul told the Cossians 3:2 to set their minds on things above, not earthly things. Earthly things include earthly wisdom, earthly discernment, earthly love.

We can run around like cats with firebrands attached or stop, look and listen.  What is God saying? What does His word say?

It is important that we consider His opinion before reacting.  Amen!
