Not like that

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.””1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What are we not like? Like those who reject Jesus as their saviour. Because of our decision to make Gim our Lord we are elevated into royalty and called kings and priests. That is some elevation! From a nobody to a ruling elite.

So then, how should we live? Responsibly, grateful, humbly. The high priests we accountable to God for obeying the laws relating to temple behaviour. We are told we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, how then should we behave? Responsibly! Courteously and humbly and grateful. 

We are not our own but have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Amen!
