This morning whilst having time with the Lord I felt my chair rock twice. I suspected an earthquake and was right, 5.2. Of late there have been three earthquakes in Nepal, this one stronger than the last two.

I have made a practice of keeping all important items in my bag, which I would hope to grab on the way out. As I am situated on the third floor of a building it makes sense to leave if things became bad. Determining what is important at a moments notice is a challenge.

In Australia, in bushfire season, we have to ensure we not only prepare for that eventuality, have a way of escape and know what to take, and when to leave. It would be the same wherever danger lies.

However, no matter how well you plan it is God who will bring a good result. Our trust must be in Him not ourselves. Amen!
