Love is like a shawl, a mantilla or a blanket. It covers the one beneath it. When we allow the Holy Spirit to produce His love in us for the maddening friends and family, they sense it and open up.
I have a maddening friend and God has been working on me to be able to live through the awkward and annoying times. I asked Him to show me what He is doing in my friend. I also started praying that God would use him in the places he is with non-Christian friends.
Today this friend came and played cards with me. I am grateful because I am here alone. I trounced him without trying. He was able tot talk about his anxiety. I am grateful I was able to be useful. People need to be able to be honest with us. This friends anxiety causes him to complain. His complaining is not pleasant but the bigger problem, his anxiety, is worse.
I pray I can be of service to my friend and the Lord. Amen!
