Run and not faint

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

 I Believe that as Christians we have an on/off switch. When the switch is on we walk in the Spirit; when the switch is off we walk in the flesh. It is that simple. Walking in the spirit is intentional. Why else would we be encouraged to clothe ourselves or put on? Just as we put thought into the clothes we wear, we must choose the spiritual clothes we wear. Sailing along expecting our spirit to be right because we have prayed the sinner’s prayer is foolish, even reckless. Daily we must choose. 

It helps if we take time to read our bibles and pray, worship even. Jesus said to His disciples: “you are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you”( John 15:3). The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword piercing bone and marrow, piercing the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). The word of God is the best leveller.

Often I will awake and sense myself in a fleshly place. I then must go to the rock for cleansing. If I go with a repentant heart it works every time. It is the best start to the day! Amen!
