Ears to hear

Then he said, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our desire is to be heard and understood, however, often we are not. We are consumed with thoughts about us and what is bothersome to us. 

The Lord told us:”my ways are not your ways, and my thoughts not your thoughts”(Isaiah 55:8). Previously He also said:

“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.”

To have ears wide open takes work, it takes cultivating a determination to listen to the voice of God when He speaks.
My church starts 21 days of prayer and fasting on this Monday. Along with it a hunger for an encounter with our God would be good. This would include clearer hearing.
That I might hear will be my quest, that I might know the Holy Spirit more my desire. Amen!
