“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”1 Chronicles 16:24 NIV
Today my eldest grandson became a member of the Australian Armed Forces. By wearing the uniform he is declaring his allegiance to the nation of Australia and will devout his life to the protection of her interest.
As a Christian how do I declare my allegiance to Jesus? I do it by my words and deeds and the way I treat others. I also do this by sharing my faith to others.
This afternoon my housemate and I went to order cushions for our dining chairs as they are wooden. The Nepali man in the shop endeavoured to steer us towards a particular fabric, he told us other fabrics I looked at were more expensive. I disagreed because I am a sower. However, when I calculated what the man wanted for six cushions I could see they were a bargain. We would pay the same price for one in Australia. By treating shopkeepers fairly I trust I am declaring my godly position. I trust!
What are you declaring today as traffic annoys you, as shopkeepers frustrate you?
