Trust

Genesis 3:7 (AMP) Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;
Amazing! The very opposite to what the serpent had led them to believe. He told them that their eyes would be open and they would know the difference between good and evil. He indicated power, greatness that they did not have.
When their eyes were open they saw their lack, their failure, their powerlessness. They saw their nakedness.
When they knew both good and evil, God said they they were now like the Godhead, knowing good and evil, blessing and cursing, they were dangerous and could no longer eat from the tree of life and had to leave the garden.
God had not planned for us to know 'good and evil' but presence, relationship and trust.
Trust comes out of relationship yet knowledge blocks the simplicity of trust, especially if it is relied on instead of relationship.
In our independence we prefer knowledge, being self-made appeals to us, it gives us a glory of our own.
We were made to be transparent and a reflector of true glory not a generator of false, temporary glory.
Being a generator causes us to decay a whole lot faster than if we surrendered and became a reflector.
Ah! the simplicity of trust. Amen!
