What Must we do?

'...what must we do?' 'Repent', Peter said to them, 'and be baptised, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the Holy Spirit.' Acts 2:37b,38

Constantly we are at the cross-roads. What will I do? Which well will I draw from?

Truth comes to us giving us opportunity to choose. It comes so often we fail to see before us. If we are not sensitive to truth we miss it's purity.

When Moses had to confront Pharaoh and was constantly rejected he had a choice. How will I deal with this? Will I remind this guy that we are related? Will I draw on my knowledge of the palace, or those in it?

Moses returned to the Lord. He complained to Him, not to the people he was trying to liberate, he did not sit down with his brother and strategise.

Choosing truth brings us to repentance, our attitude is eternally ruffled by the behaviour of others.

Yesterday, the day after giving notice at work, I sensed a finality and the behaviour of my employers gave me reason to believe they were not going to be fair or equitable.

What is at stake? What is mine. That which the Lord gave me is in jeopardy. What do I do?

I think waiting on the Lord for the correct way is prudent instead of plotting with my mind and waiting on my carnal nature for a response.

My bible is littered with leaders who forgot to wait and made a mistake. If God be for me, who can be against me?

The battle is the Lord's but this does not mean I do nothing. Moses was given a response every time he waited on the Lord. Hope is coming for me. Amen!
