Mercy

the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Matthew 23:23

I am in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia having Christmas with my son and his family. This included my ex-husband and his wife and his brother, his wife and two daughters.

In divorce there are vows broken, hurt dispensed and a lot of bad feeling. However, I came with a clean slate and continue to maintain a clean slate and being pleasantly surprised.

My Ex-husband and his wife invited me over for Christmas dinner and I must say I enjoyed myself. Yesterday we all went out on the surf ski and had a lovely day.

All that has gone before is permanently gone and I am happy for my ex-husband and his wife. I actually like his wife and have compassion on her. She has been nothing but gracious and I appreciate her efforts.

Now had I come with the law and maintained offense because of the broken law I would have caused a lot of unpleasantness, been miserable and been rejected.

I had to ask myself, What is my God doing? He is far above all law, far above all and I have to let Him reign. When He reigns all is good. Amen!

Mercy triumphs over judgement! Amen!
