The Finish

Therefore stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not let his house be broken into. Therefore you must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Matthew 24:42-44

He is coming! If we knew when we would behave and press in but because He is delayed we become side tracked.

Weariness in well doing causes us to stop, offense causes us to stop, unfulfilled promises cause us to stop, pain, disillusionment, grief all trip us up.

What we need is a good pest exterminator travelling with us. This we have, but, we should choose to invite Him along, His name is Holy Spirit.

I am awake early and in pain. On Boxing day I went water skiing and had an accident, I now have damaged ribs or torn muscles, the doctor could not be specific, the x-ray was not conclusive. I have had broken ribs before and the pain is identical but even if it is muscular the treatment is the same.

I face 2012 damaged, but then hey I have done this before. So does that mean I give up, 'curse God and die' as Job's wife would have had him do? I read the financial predictions and they are not good, do I give up my career?

I am know I am closer to an answer, a divine provision, a completion so how can I leave? I know that eternity is more important to me than momentary pleasure so why quit the training?

I also face 2012 with a greater wholeness in my being than ever before. This means I will make a more holistic decisions in 2012, I will be wiser in 2012, I will be happier in 2012.

I see those who have decided to stay at the pools full of dead mans bones, I can smell the stench, even though, they cannot. I see through the illusion to the deceiver and say 'no way, Hosea!'

I see ahead to the end and I will keep my eyes fixed on the One who waits for me. Amen!
