Torches

He also said to them, "Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn't it to be put on a lampstand? For nothing is concealed except to be revealed and nothing is hidden except to come to the light. If anyone has ears to hear he should listen!" Mark 4:21-23

The lamp represents Jesus and to us Christ within. If I have something new and great in my life then I tell everyone about it. I have something precious within and I want the world to know about Him.

Jesus said of Himself, 'I am the light of the world.' He is the power that overcame the darkness and set the captives free.

Again we are admonished to listen. what is He saying? His word is more important that all the other noises in our heads.

He is not a mean stingy God who witholds but a generous God who gives liberally. We need to read our bibles and get to know the One it speaks about.
