A Repentant Heart

"In a little while the world will see Me no longer, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live too. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you. The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves d the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and reveal Myself to him." John 14:19-21

It is true, the world does not see Christ yet it sees us. How do we behave? The key verse is 'the one who has my commands and keeps them'. This person will see Christ and that is what I want.

Having left a rental to move to Tamworth I am faced with the previous landlord wanting me to replace the house full of carpet because of stains in the lounge room, hall and master bedroom, two other bedrooms are unstained. Wisdom would dictate to only remove the affected areas and replace it with carpet from the clothes cupboard as anything put down in a rental will be thus affected.

Of the face of it the demand seems unreasonable but I had said to the agent I would like to be able to do that for the landlord when I leave, thinking I would be leaving in November.

My words are coming to claim their prize. I had made the offer in a soft moment and now they stand to demand action.

My flesh is fighting and has a multitude of reasons but basically it has backed away from the words previously spoken.

I am seeking the Lord for guidance but I know in my heart of hearts that the word stands strong and what I sow I reap and a word given must be backed with action. If I am to teach others what lesson will I give them? A hard hearted reply? Or the word of God soaked heart?

Yet what blessings await a repentant heart?
