Wickedness

For a man's ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all His paths.
The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnares him;
The chords of his sin hold him fast, he will die for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly. Proverbs 5:21-23

Deception would have us believe that God is blind, cannot see our ways or perhaps indulgently tolerant of wickedness. Wrong!

Wickedness waits every opportunity to get into our hearts. Deception works with it so that we be one polluted with an unclean heart, our fountain of life muddy and filled with oily muck that causes the mechanism of our life to falter.

Once wickedness takes hold, like a cancer it spreads and infiltrates previously sound and clean motives.

Lack if discipline allows wickedness to enter. If there are no boundaries sin invades.

What is our protection? Love of the Lord and His word above love of self.

We are safe in Him as we choose His ways and refuse deceptive thoughts and practices. It is folly to believe God is dead or inactive. It is even greater folly to believe there is no devil and that we do not have an enemy, we di!
