Boldness

Now there was a certain Jew named Apollos, born in Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.

This man had been instructed in the way of The Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of The Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.

So he began to speak boldy in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

For he vigorously refuted the Jews public ally, showing from the scriptures that Jesus is the Christ. Acts 18:24-26,28

Apollos was on fire with the Gospel of truth. He didn't have it all right because he had not met the more.

When he did find the more then he spoke it with boldness.

The gospel is the power to save. Jesus is the light of the world and He alone is the Saviour. It is not our works that save us but our believing.

As we speak scripture we release life. Yesterday I had such an opportunity and failed to speak. I found myself speaking naturally to am elderly man who needed life. Why did I not give him life? I could not find how to begin and this chafes me.

This causes me to go to my God and ask for boldness to begin even when I do not know how. I pray for another opportunity today and no matter how empty I feel to release the Sprit who is never empty.

Reinhard Bonke says the ABC's of the gospel are all we need. I have them and all I need is to speak boldly as Apollos did. I cannot let my passion be dictated to by my circumstances or it will be quenched by my surroundings and then all my enemy has to do is ensure my surroundings are faithless to keep me quiet.
