Wisdom in Action

Who is wise and has understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom's gentleness.
But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't brag and deny the truth.
Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, up spiritual, demonic.
For where envy and selfish ambition exists, there is disorder and every kind of evil.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favouritism or hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
James 3:13-18

There are times when I hope I am portraying wisdom. If my attitude is about me, then probably not.

God works in each of us and to the degree we are moulded and shaped by His hand will be the degree of brokenness and fragrance that comes from our lives.

Heavenly wisdom can be smelt. How? You might ask! Right now, today, is the first day of summer and there is a smell in the air. How do I describe it? It just smells like summer. (I love it!!!)
Bad attitude takes a lot of energy and disturbs the atmosphere. I can sense it a mile off, not good!
Whereas peace, God kind of peace, is restful, not striving, just is.

Conduct tells us a whole lot about a person. I find hat when I am not trying to be wise, clever, gentle or anything spiritual but rest in God, them I am most wise and spiritual just by trusting. 

True wisdom is to allow Christ to reign, this is the wisest thing we can do. If Christ reigns then we are gentle. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
