Judgement Judged

Therefore, any one of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things. We know that God's judgement on those who do such things is based on truth. Romans 2:1,2

At the end of the prior chapter we see that God's wrath is on those who 'did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God.'

Among the sins named as a result ofGod  delivering them over to a 'worthless mind to do what is morally wrong,' ther are all sorts of wickedness yet some things that are common to the Christian world as well: unloving, disobedient to parents, gossips, slanderers etc. did the doers of such 'small' sins not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God?

There is always a moralist brigade who would judge some sins, such as homosexuality, but fail to see the log in their own eyes and all the while are shameful gossips.

Paul is saying in the above scripture that God's judgement is on the judge. At the end of all days we must give an account of our behaviour. It is then we will discover how wrong we have been.

In Proverbs 26:12 Solomon deals with the self-righteous man who is wise in his own ways. He says there is more hope for a fool than this man, yet in the preceding 11 verses he deals with the fool, it is scary stuff.

When annoyed will will vitriotically lash out. We criticise so easily when wronged, especially when under pressure.

David said: "let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in You sight oh God."

God does not like criticism. Remember Miriam's leprosy as a result of criticising Moses. Not a good idea.
