Confessing Life
This is the message that we proclaim: 'if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. Now the scripture says, 'Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame', for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him. For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' Romans 10:8-13
What good news! When I heard the call, I believed and the very next day went to work speaking of my experience.
When we have a great experience, be it: a holiday; a significant purchase; a new love, we want to talk about it to others.
Believing results in righteousness and confession results in salvation. Now, I wonder, can someone believe and not confess? Yes there are those that do this. Does it mean they are unsaved? Interesting!
If I believe why would I not speak?
Revelation tells us: they overcame him(satan) by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. It appears thy go hand in hand.
I know that as I confess what I believe, it comes to pass. It does not come to pass, unless I confess it.
Perhaps confession prevents the vulture from snatching away the precious seed of faith? Confession brings something into being. It is alive and living as soon as we speak it and the more we speak it the more it grows.
Speak up!
