Creation Longs

For creation eagerly waits with longing for God's sons and daughters to be revealed. For creation was subjected to futility-not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it-in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children.
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labour pains until now. And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the first fruits- we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. Romans 8:19-23

After the fall creation was plunged into futility but when Christ came the hope came alive. He was the first of many 'sons of God.' As we, those who came after, submit to sonship, then creation is liberated, inch by inch, from the bondage of sin. Creation know there is a hope, the spirit of God is in all creation. The trees clap their hands, the brooks bubble their praises, the newborn exult in ahis making.

How much more is the rejoicing when a 'son or daughter of God' is revealed? We fail to understand how important we are. We are the liberators, but only as we accept our calling and live in the power of who we are.

Our God is great and greatly to be praised! It is He who has made us, we are the sheep of His pasture. Amen!
