Boundaries to Faith

"If you believe you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."Matthew 21:22

Jesus had just cursed a fig tree for not having any fruit. When they went by the tree the next day it had withered. The disciples were amazed. I wonder why? They had seen Jesus heal the sick; open blind eyes and deaf ears; he had fed the multitude yet here He merely cursed a tree and it withered.

What are the parameters of our faith? Where are the boundaries? Do we know why the boundaries are there? What do they look like?

Can we believe for finance and not healing or vice versa?

Can we explain these differences?

I know the more time I have to think and analyse the more barriers I construct in my mind. I remember walking into my mother's house once and saw she had a crooked finger and asked about it. She explained she thought it was arthritis. Without the thinking I grabbed it and rebuked arthritis and told it to straighten, it did.

There are other times I walk into a wall of heaviness and moroseness and struggle to believe myself.

Tomorrow night at the Presence conference Pastor Phil Pringles is preaching on healing and on Friday night Daniel Kolenda is preaching. I expect to see miracles. Perhaps the best thing I can do is prepare myself in prayer. I know when faith is preached, mighty things happen.
