Living and Dying
For me, living is Christ and dying is gain. Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful work for me; and I don't know which one I should choose. I am pressured by both. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ- which is far better- but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for you. Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that, because of me, your confidence may grow in Christ Jesus when I come to you again. Philippians 1:21-26
I agree! This is exactly how I feel. I long to be with the Lord but when I look at all those I encourage in this life and my grandchildren, I must stay until my God calls me home.
I see so many older Christians who have faded eyes. They have lost the sparkle for their God. Perhaps there are a lot of disappointments. We have a habit of expounding how we think God will perform and when He doesn't we lose our way. The antidote is to press into Him and find our way in Him not try and dictate what the way must be like.
I must be fresh every morning, because He is. He promises He is new every morning. We have just had some beautiful rain. The land is fresh this morning, I need to breath that in. Amen
As I write this I am listening to Hillsong radio and the song: 'There is Power in the Name of Jesus' is playing. There is power and we are encouraged to declare it. There is power in Him to break every chain. There is an army rising up to break every chain, be a part of that army.
I hear the chains falling! Confess it! Rise up and be set free, filled afresh by Him! Amen!
