Knowledge?
Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding irreverent, empty speech and contradictions from the "knowledge" that falsely bears that name. By professing it, some people have deviated from the faith. 1 Tim 6:20,21
Knowledge puffs up! It makes us think we know something we don't. It makes us feel important. If it is not gained by revelation but merely by study, we can think we are clever, forgetting that it is God who gives us that ability. I am in no way dismissin this type of learning, I do a lot of it, but merely brining clarity around the knowledge that brings life.
However, the lessons we learn in God are precious. Philosophy about what a Christian should or should not do is empty. What is God calling us to do? We waste time sitting and dissecting our Christian walk if we go away empty of vision but full of self satisfaction, because we had a discussion.
What is the Spirit of God saying? What does He want us to do? Where is He going today? That is where we must go! Amen!
