The a forgiven are Grateful

Then one of the Pharisees invited Him to eat with him. He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. And a woman in the town who was a sinner found out that Jesus was reclining at the table in the Pharisee's house. She brought an alabaster jar of fragrant oil and stood behind Him at His feet, weeping, and began to wash His feet with her tears. She wiped His feet with her hair, kissing them and anointing them with the fragrant oil.
When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, "This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him- she's a sinner!"
Jesus replied to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you."
"Teacher," he said, "say it."
A creditor had two debtors. One owed 500 denarii, and the other 50. Since they could not pay it back, he graciously forgave them both. So which one of them will love him the more?"
Simon answered, "I suppose the one he forgave more."
"You have judged correctly," He told Him. Turning to the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for My feet, but she with her tears has washed My feet and wiped them with her hair. You gave Me no kiss, but she hasn't stopped kissing My feet since I came in. You didn't anoint My head with olive oil, but she has anointed my feet with fragrant oil. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; that is why she loves so much. But the one who is forgiven little loves little. Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
Those who were at the table with Him began saying among themselves, "Who is this man who forgives sins?"
And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you,mga in peace." Luke 7:36-50

I imagine that Simon could have genuinely invited Jesus to his home to hear him, rather than to trap Him. However, he had not shown hospitality by washing His feet, kissing His cheek and anointing Him with oil. This shows disrespect. Simon also made the mistake of judging in his thoughts, which Jesus perceived.

The Pharisees were not able to associate with known sinners. What a stark contrast Jesus provided. Jesus could welcome sinners and His grace opened them up to repentance and forgiveness. The religious Pharisees lived in judgement of the sinners and therefore could not help them.

To know you are forgiven you sins makes you so grateful. Prior to me coming to salvation the Lord revealed my sin, whilst I was never a wicked person in the world's eyes, I knew I was a sinner in God's eyes. Being washed clean from my sin was the most precious gift He gave me, along wthi eternal life. I will never forget and will always be grateful. I can so relate to this woman. If Jesus was in the room, literally, when I asked Him into my heart I would have kissed His feet as well.

Those who are forgiven know how to be grateful. I am also grateful to those who prayed me through to salvation, they asked for the right thing, a revelation of sin. Thank you all!

On Sunday I found myself in repentance mode in church, I knew I needed cleansing and pressed through until I was. What a beautiful sensation.

Today I repented on my decision to leave Tamworth whilst Country Music is on. The Lord gave me a desire to stay. Tonight before I went out I prayed He would give me a friend to experience the event with and there was Kerril, a Christian neighbour. Already I am going to the opening ceremony, a boot scooting night, a Sunday afternoon concert and a Tuesdy night concert, and I have only just begun. You might say I am in 'boots and all!' Last year a young woman I know from chuch went along and her pictures on Facebook made me aware that it was a lot of fun, so here I go!
