Abraham- a Man of Faith

What can we say that Abraham, our physical ancestor, has found? If Abraham was justified by works, he has something to brag about-but not before God. For what does the scripture say?
Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. Now to the one who works, pay is not considered a gift, but as something owed. But to the one who does not work, but believes on Him who declares the ungodly to be righteous, his faith is credited for righteousness. Romans 4:1-5

Abraham was before the law and he walked before God in faith, believing that all God said to him would come to pass. He was sorely tested. The son he dearly wanted came after a 20 odd year wait, but he came. God promised Abraham that his children would be like to sand on the seashore, like the stars in the sky. Abraham did not see this but believed and it has come to pass.

God regularly turned up to fellowship Abraham and test him. There was no legal agreement between God and Abraham. Abraham walked in faith, believing on the promises of God. The law did not come until Moses was on the scene, some 600 years later.

Do I want a legal relationship with my God and fellow man or one based on something else. If I choose the Law of Faith, the Law of love, then I supersede the law of Moses, which was all about works. The law of faith and the law of love are about a walk of grace, trusting in the righteousness imputed to me by the Son of God. Amen!
