Creation Groans Waiting For Us to Walk in Our Destiny
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed.
For the creation was subjected to futility- not willingly, but because but because of Him who subjected it- in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children.
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labour pains until now. And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits- we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
Now in this hope we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience. Romans 8:19-25
For Paul to say: 'for I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us,' reveals that Paul knew what he was talking about. This man had been beaten, flogged, stoned and taken up as dead and yet he can say this. He shows his focus is indeed beyond his circumstances.
For creation was subject to futility shows that creation was involved in the pain of sin, as the sons of God come into the knowledge of their sonship and live as sons creation is blessed. As a redeemed daughter I care for the environment, I treat it with respect, I go further and collect trash others throw out. I plant things to beautify, I water to keep things alive and I care deeply and am grateful.
Caring and love, God's kind of love, is missing from the world without Christ. It is not enough to be sad about things going wrong, we must get up and be a part of the answer, we have the Spirit of God within us. This same Spirit was the creative force in the beginning.
As I read the preaching of Smith Wigglesworth he tells of how he saw people injured as he travelled and stopped and prayed for them and they were restored. It is not enough to feel sad. If we go further to the compassion of God's heart and ask for their lives, He will give them to us, but we have to touch His heart first.
Rise up sons and daughters of God, walk in your destiny and heal this broken world. Amen!
