Rest

Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people. For the person who has entered His rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from His. Let us then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience. Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.
Hebrews 4:9‭-‬11‭, ‬16 HCSB

I have awoken after having a 'result of Sabbath rest dream'. I have a close family relationship breakdown. I have been asked to give space and so there has been no contact throughout Christmas. My dream could not have been better. It was a healing dream for that relationship. I sure did not manufacture it, God did.

In the above passage I have the understanding that we must enter rest so as to not fall into disobedience. In fact we must strive to enter this rest. In other words let go of every effort of mine.

Anxiety and fear cause us to strive, in the wrong way, as in maintaining control. Not striving requires us to totally trust God for the outcome.

The Christmas break is a good time to enter rest and stay in rest and not, again, pick up the tools of anxious toil. He is worthy to be trusted. Amen!
