Peace

And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful.
Colossians 3:15 HCSB

There are different types òf peace: peace from fighting and conflict; absence of noise; a quiet morning when you are alone with nature. Peace is a greatly sought commodity but one rarely found.

Jesus talked about peace:

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful. John 14:27

The disciples were about to face fear and turmoil as Jesus was about to be crucified and yet here He was talking of peace. Jesus tells them it is different to what the world considers as peace. For His peace you can have in a busy, noisy city.

Paul the apostle knew hardship, flogging, jail time, stoning, conflict, but he said the following:

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6‭-‬7

So...peace comes as we pray about what troubles us and as we leave it with God trusting Him for the answer and the outcome.

Remember: prayer, petition and thanksgiving!

Prayer: Lord forgive us for our anxious thoughts and talk. We give You our anxieties and ask for your peace. Thank You! Amen!
