Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 HCSB https://bible.com/bible/72/mat.28.19.hcsb
How did Jesus make disciples? He spent three years with them and taught them all they needed to know to then go and make disciples who then went.
Jesus was the catalyst. He displayed the Father. He did not teach religion or ritual, He taught relationship, heart, and action out of the heart. He did not build buildings, take an offering, or start a Bible school. Yet He taught 12 young men, one who failed and committed suicide. So, even Jesus had suicide on His watch.
Making disciples requires lots of love and commitment. It requires patience and long-suffering. However, the fruit will remain, if done right.
Modern men and women are prone to short term commitments. Discipling requires death to self and long term commitment. Give it a try! Amen!
