Too much talk about what? Probably our offences against others, how we think things should go, our lofty opinions about anything really. When we become enamoured with our own voice we are setting ourselves up for a fall.
This does not mean we don't talk. We need to talk about things to resolution with a trusted friend. However, the line of talk is important. Am I merely complaining? Or am I genuinely seeking a godly resolution?
First I talk to God. What is He saying? Am I overreacting? If so I need His help. Why am I overreacting? What buttons are being pushed in me?
Only God knows the deepest truth and that is the only truth worth knowing. Amen!
