Our Potter

And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.
Isaiah 64:8 NLT

At one time I attempted pottery. I particularly enjoyed the wheel. It takes skill to hold a lump of clay centred on the wheel, keep the wheel in motion and produce a work of art. If there are any defects in the clay the pot will wobble and disfigure and you have to start again.

The Lord is creating a vision of His Son in each of us. We are the lump of clay. All impediments are being removed and the work is a slow one.

So, if ever you find your head in a spin, perhaps you are on the wheel and in the master's hands. There is no better place to be. Although the feeling makes you want to step down, stay put, He is in control and you can trust Him. Amen!
