body harmony
The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don’t, the parts we see and the parts we don’t. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance.

I am grateful that my body parts work together, that my legs and arms stay attached, that my fingers continue to function. The parts we don't see, the inner bowels, liver, pancreas, spleen to name a few, are vitally needed. I cannot live successfully without an input from all my inner parts.
I am grateful my inner parts do not fight with my visible parts for dominance. I am glad there is no jealousy or gossip. My body, generally, just gets on with the task of functioning as one entity.
Jesus is the head and we are the body. Just as my brain directs my body, so must Jesus have rulership over His body, the church.
