right and just
Doing what is righteous and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3 HCSB

The Bible refers to these Godly attributes in several places. It starts in Deuteronomy, declaring that God is just, moves through Pslams, Isaiah, Micah and appears in Luke 11:42
“But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others".
Imagine giving a 1/10 of all your herbs. If the Pharisees were so intent on sifting through their lives, and assuming that this sort of giving was righteous, they would be blind to others, and they were.
Are we guilty of taking one aspect of scripture and neglecting all others?
When we abide in Christ we have Him as our leveller, not religion or worldliness. Having the truth of the word of God is far better than finding ourselves somewhere far away from home, in deception and isolation. Amen!
