This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 NLT
Knowing we, the Church, are the body of Christ, is an amazing and mystical fact. How can Christians from all over the world be the body of Christ? Yet, scripture tells us we are. Therefore, we cannot afford to have prejudice, or preferences, refusing another 's inclusion.
We saw this in the early days as black folk tried to attend white folk's churches. All over the world. white folk, unless they were missionaries, tended to be exclusive. I am not saying all were, but we know a lot were. What made them this way? They had been used to having church a particular way, and did not like the intrusion. In other words their hearts were not really the Lord's, they thought they were in control. We are not in control Christ is the head, not us.
When we allow Christ to be the head we are in for exciting times. Amen!
