Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39 NLT
We have preferences about amost everything. Our space is important to us. I live in a duplex. My immediate neighbours are two young women, an occasional guy or two, three dogs, 2 cats and occasionally 2 kids. They have three cars. In Australia rare is the person who parks their car in the garage, I do, my neighbours don't. They have two 4wd vehicles which are big and small black sedan. I am surrounded by their cars and when I reverse out I must be careful to go slow as I cannot see the traffic on the road because of all the vehicles. I would prefer this was not the case, however, I remind myself there are more souls there now needing Jesus. When I have visitors they complain about not being able to park out the front of my home. As ai am a person who does not mind walking I think, walking can't hurt them.
We can allow preferences to incite anger, frustration and a desire for revenge. That is walking in the flesh, or we can allow kindness, goodness, mercy, faith and self- control to rule and see God's kingdom come. It took me awhile to get here. Now I need to see God move. Amen!
