True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. Proverbs 22:4 NLT
We see this scripture, and zero on on riches and honour. However, the cost is humility and fear of the Lord. How do we judge this in our lives? What does God say about humility?
He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
Psalms 25:9. Humility here shows that we do not insist on our own ideas on what is right. We are willing to allow God to lead.
The apostle James says:
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. James 4:10 . He appears to agree.
So, try humility and seek God first. If He chooses to bless that is His business. Amen!
