true connection

True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. Proverbs 22:4 NLT

Humility can be insincere, people may buy it, but God doesn't. God is looking for a true heart, a heart that belongs to Him, and defers to His judgement.

I have just fed my dog. He loves his food so much that he keeps returning to the bowl to lick it out. He wakes me with a call to feed him. You might say he has a true connection with it. Some food, dog food, I have tried, he avoids. He likes what I cook.

May I love the genuine article in God, let nothing else satisfy. May I seek him as my dog seeks his food.
