We have just witnessed the end of the reign of Queen Elizabeth. In a way she was a shepherdess to the people of her Commonwealth. She sacrificed a lot for us, and worked tirelessly even when very old until she died at 96. We are told the hours that her successor King Charles already works. He also works long hours.

Laying down our lives looks different in each and every circumstance. Some literally lay down their lives and are martyred for their faith. However, most sacrifice freedom from indulgence in comfort for time spent with  and for others.

We have an example to follow in Christ. He calls us to follow Him and take His yoke upon us. Will you follow today?
