share each other's burdens

Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 NLT

What is Paul referring to here? He is referring to verse 1:
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

Gently and humbly helping one another when caught in sin requires a willingness to confront sin, call it out. Do we do this? Or do we wait until things become so bad that we shun or cast the person out?

Early confrontation of any disease, and application of a remedy brings healing. Without surgery at times we may die, but in the hands of an expert surgeon we may live life to the full.

So, is God calling you to work as His loving surgeon, do it well. However, religious bigotry is not the same thing. Humbly and gently apply the remedy lest you also fall into the same sin.

In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery. Proverbs 28:23 NLT
