Those in need

“But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Yesterday I discovered that our local hospital is overflowing due to a large number of elderly waiting for a placement in a nursing home . I know one of those is a woman who’s husband in his 90s put his wife there because she has early stages of dementia. My elderly friend who is 79 is her sister.  My friend is troubled about her sister being in hospital and the fact that the sister wants to go home or to stay with her. Our country has a problem with aged care being available. I had three aunts go into aged care and my mother who stayed with first my brother, then me.  Our family was keen to care for our mum. However, if dementia was a problem things would have been different.

I can only give emotional support to my friend. She will need it now until her sister passes away as watching a loved one go through dementia must be difficult. All of my family died from other causes, praise God. I am supporting another friend who struggles to be free from homosexuality. I was blessed to have an intercessory burden for him on Friday night last whilst he was here. I had a tremendous urge to sing in the Spirit. He said that when he woke the next morning he was free. I have told the Lord I am available to intercede any time He likes. I prefer this to any amount of talking.  I could see he was manifesting the spirit and we were playing a game, I asked the Holy Spirit for help and so I started to sing. The funny thing is when I sing like this others are not perturbed at all, it is as if it is not happening for them.

Needs are not always financial. Yesterday my dog Oscar had a fit and I rebuked the spirit and held him. He came through. This only ever happens to him when I am going somewhere in the Spirit. I thought, “ooh, praise God, things are happening!” Rather than being peturbed I know it is spiritual. I will continue to be the answer. Amen!
