Many times we do not hear because we have blocked it with wrong expectations or attitudes. We may believe in God’s love, but not for us; we may believe in miracles, but not for us. Steven Furtic says that many times we block God’s favour with the familiar .
He cited how the people in Nazareth saw how eloquent Jesus spoke but then because they thought they knew Him, they cut Him off. How do we block Him today? A long time ago we may have been made to believe we were different to everyone else, and when favour comes we reject it, because we are different (so we think).
