Pursuit

“Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are all in pursuit of something. Something has caught our interest, our affection and desire. What are these things? A job, a career, a financial win, a house, a car, a relationship? How does this pursuit compare with the one Jesus told us to have? He said: seek first teh kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things will come to you. Matt 6:33

What are all these things? What we shall eat, what we shall wear. This teaching comes in the passage where He talks about not serving God and mammon. Mammon is money.

Jesus had learned the proverb above, He personally knew about not seeking for possessions and even needs. He did not have a house of His own, a business, His focus was the kingdom of God, yet His needs were provided for. 

We need to take our eyes off worldly ways and means and trust Him. Amen!
