Yielding

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”

Yielding our thoughts, our plans, our ways to the Lord for His higher purposes is what the Kingdom of God is about. It does not mean we become miserable in doing His will, the opposite hapoens, we become filled with joy.

Last night I assisted in serving another’s vision at a Scripture Union tent. I prayed for a woman who had a bone disease. No one had ever prayed for her before. She said she could feel the heat of God move into her body. I did not feel like serving at the tent, but I was asked and went. I also had many fine conversations during the night.

Today is Sunday and we all have an opportunity to worship the Lord in His house. We may feel rather like doing something else. It is not about us, why not connect with our saviour. Amen!
