Endurance

“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am doing a Lenten study on hope. In one section there was an exercise of writing down what we hope for. I am usually not too good on these exercises, however, today I complied. There are various layers of outcomes I wish to see, however the first is a breakthrough in a key area , along with the presence of God to bring influential change. I am over the dryness and lack of the Spirit’s control. I want the river.

I was reading in Hebrews where many saints of old did not see the promise before they died. This thought is unbearable to me, however, if it is God’s plan He will make it so for me. Eternity is my ultimate desire, being with Him forever, well, that is beyond wow! Knowing that I will have attained more than I could ever hope for in eternity is fine. Nonetheless, I believe there is a breathrough in the here and now for me as a testimony to God’s goodness and faithfulness to all who know me.

Just as God gave Joshua the victory, I seek the victory also. I am reminded of a family of women who went to Joshua and asked for their inheritance in the promised land even though they had no menfolk, which was usually the criteria. He gave them a portion of hill country and they asked for water also. Bold ladies ! They bless me!
