“For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.”Romans 1:16 NLT
There are many things we could be, or should be ashamed of. However, the gospel of Christ is not one. There is power in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus sets captives free from demonic oppression, the welcome of the gospel bring light to darkened minds. The name of Jesus heals broken bodies.
As Paul puts it: the gospel or good news about Jesus is the power of God at work saving everyone who believes. It saved me, it has saved a multitude. The power of God is greater than all the noise thrown against it. Nothing has stopped it, it endures, and has endured for over 2,000 years.
Time and again we hear of hardened hearts set free by the power of the gospel. Those who persecute become ardent advocates. We must believe in the power of the gospel, we have been delegated authority to share it in power and might. We are annointed and appointed. Amen!
