“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”Colossians 4:2 NLT
Why I it we are so willing to grumble and complain? As Christians we have a glorious salvation and a loving God, He cares for us, watches over us, has good plans for us and yet when someone asks: “how are you going?” We tell them all the rubbish. I saw several people do this last night. I can be guilty of it when particularly troubled.
The Lord wakes me every morning to His beautiful pink sky, small birds fill my garden and I know I am blessed. He hears my prayers teaches me through His word, goes with me throughout my day, and one small thing happens and it is all undone, it seems.
However, gratitude and praise soon fix the attitude and lift the atmosphere. We see this again and again in the Psalms. We should learn from it.
I must admit I have had a great day , though nothing exceptional happened, but I had joy deep down in my soul. I listened to my Christian radio as I studied (more background heavenly noise), however, it keeps the spiritual atmosphere in check. I am aware that uni is coming to an end. I have a major assignment due on 26/5, it is mostly completed and an exam assignment to write between the 2-7 June. Then all done!!! Yay!! I plan to take time to recover fitness and clean out my garage, before going to Brisbane on about 16th June to visit grandkids. I hope to do some snorkelling around Morton Bay Island, just off the mainland. Ah! I love the sea at holiday times. I also love to escape the cold down here. Praise God He created temperate zones.
