“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”Matthew 28:19 NLT
Jesus chose His disciples and spent three years imparting into their lives. Paul had his disciples as I am sure the others did even if we do not know their names.
I have people in my life that God has given me to share the process God has taken me through in making me His disciple. I spent some time with one this afternoon. She had received a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma on her leg. The word cancer scares her and I told her how it will be fine and that it is not a big issue, she is having it surgically removed. This friend constantly goes to fear. I told her to trust and take one step at a time. She is fighting coming to the Lord in complete trust. Jesus is her only answer, He is her saviour, not me.
Jesus taught His disciples to pray and trust God the Father, and also He himself. He is the only answer! He is the only saviour. My friend won’t believe that yet, and so she spends copious amounts of money on doctors. I have been praying for her to learn to trust the Lord.
I am sure Jesus spent most of His time praying for His disciples. They were the ones who would take His message to the lost. We need to invest in the team. Amen!
