“Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”1 Timothy 4:12 HCSB
Timothy was a young leader. This position, of being ignored, is often also the case for the elderly. I can see when the lights are out in people’s eyes. I saw it on Wednesday night. I am sure bright young people are considered too young to know anything, however, we all take our phones to them to have the young minds iron out the kinks.
While many young preachers can be all noise and bravado, they might also have a portion of the Holy Spirit to impart. It is wise to wait and ask for godly hearing before we jump to conclusions. Older preaches can be also just noise. Always, seek God for what He is saying. Amen!
